Hiya- I am going to start posting some fun stuff from our trip to Rhode Island. I have to start with my funny "puffer fish" ,aka blow fish, story. For some reason (I believe a trusted adult told me) I thought hush puppies were puffer fish dropped in hot oil. I literally thought that someone would shock the fish and make them blow up their cheeks and THEN drop them in hot oil and that in turn was how hush puppies were born. I didn't eat them my entire childhood. I didn't find out that my hush puppy idea was a misconception until I got to college. OK...so now I know better. I eat the hush puppies...etc.
While in Rhode Island.....my room had some "odd" decorations. One being a skeleton of a puffer fish. This did not give me nightmares or anything but it was totally worth the picture opportunity. See attached

Last of the Sanibel Pictures
Alright...so I have just a few more vaca pictures to share. We are getting ready to go to Rhode Island soon, and I figured I should post all the Florida pics before I get back with a whole new bunch. May is shaping up to be a crazy busy month:)
This sign cracked me up...its the most odd way to ask people to keep out of the landscaping areas...
Here is my "faux" trip to illustrate the absurdity....

An odd dinner companion
Our condo complex in Sanibel had a large pond which added to the tropical feel of the scenery. The pond was home to many turtles, some large scary looking fish, and two alligators. It was Florida after all, so what fun would a pond be without alligators. These alligators were not very big and mostly kept to themselves. We had these great grilling areas near the pond which many families utilizes, including us for some very yummy hot dogs one day:) One evening we noticed that one family had a an uninvited guess at their dinner. One of the alligators had come out of the pond t "investigate" whatever it was that they were cooking. He climbed all the way up to the picnic area...to the delight of most. I was able to snap some pictures. Take a look

An Evening on the Tiny Links
We were in Florida, so of course we had to take a turn at put put. We found a fun "castle" themed course in Ft. Meyers. It was a pretty close game until that last hole...it threw Kevin for a put put loop. In the end,Pam took first place, I was second and LeeAnn was third. Here are some pics from our adventure:

A day on the Tarpoon Bay
So while on vacation we decided to rent our very own pontoon boat. We set sail on the Tarpon Bay and proceeded to search out wildlife and the sun (I was the only one that really looked for the Sun...with a healthy dose of Sunscreen of course.) We sailed around. Saw crazy duck/birds, shells and even a few dolphins.
Kevin and Pam hanging out under the canopy in the middle of the Bay.
Lee Ann spent most of her time hanging off the edge looking for wildlife.
